Yes Lorna was My Grandfathers sister so my dads Aunt, I remember going to her house when I was young, she lived with her mum who dad called gran. Gran was blind before she died. I work long hours as to staff shortage at present and have sat and sun off, so I can Have a good look at the tree. I was sent some info from a lady in NSW who is also related, I just have to dig that info out.
I have been helping with the Fromelles research DNA data base I have two friends who are doing the research on these unknown soldiers as I have 10 family members who served in WW1 from my mums side. One of those family members is buried in Villers Bretoneoux KIA on 21 on the 24th April 1918.
I know that my grandfather served in WW2, John Joseph Kevin Doolan.
I would be intrested to read that book or get a copy if possible.
There was also a chap who did a lot of research on the Doolan side, he was Beenleigh but I think he has passed on?
My parents divorced when I was young and I lost contact with my family, a bit selfish on my mothers part.
My dad lives in NZ and has 3 sons with his second wife.
I will get my sister to write him and get some info from him regarding the family.
Do you know of any family who served in WW1?
Anyhoo must get tea and get to bed soon. You can email me directly as I have put my email up and will take it off after you have it.
Cheers Caz
