Hello Doolens, this note will be short because of time, however, I was intrigued by seeing the page forwarded to me by my son, Andrew, a student at the Univ of Arizona. I have studied the history of my "side" of the Doolen clan and have encountered a few younger doolens who have stored a lot of info on their computers. I have one son and three daughters, am retired teacher (many doolens were teachers). My part of the family tree came over from Ireland, landed in Georgia, farmed a fifty acre plot, moved to Ky and then to southern illinois. Some in the family then supposedly moved on to Okla and Texas. Everywhere i travel, i look in phone books and knock on doors and make calls on telephone. Ariz has some of my relatives too. I visited Doolin, Ireland. I am convinced that our name was in. Census was taken by hand in those days and the e and i were interchangeable. A doolen won the Medal of Honor in the Civil War. Doolens served in all the wars all the way back to the beginning in the USA. Anyway, lots of infor, but so little time right now. I wonder about the format?? Good to hear from you and interested to move forward to see who is who and when. Happy Holidays, Carl D.
