Ray, I don't know much about the Tennessee Doolins.
I also don't know the father of Nathaniel Doolin, but from the census records, I believe you need to look into the family of William Dulin and Clemence Ball, Three of their children married Glasscock. Phillip Doolin married Elizabeth Glasscock, John Dulin married Frances Glasscock March 27, 1777,Clemence Dulin married Charles Glasscock- Jan 15 1793.
These Glasscocks are the children of Peter Glasscock Sr.
In 1820census on page 8 ofWilliamson County, TN. Enumerated together on the same line under parties,
George Glasscock&Nathaniel Doolin, males 3-under10, 1- 10/16, 0-16/18, 1-18/26, 1-26/45 Females 2under10, 1-10/16, 0-16/26, 1-26/45, 2 in Agri, 1 free colored 26/45.
I believe this George Glasscock is the son of Peter Glasscock Jr.Peter Glasscock Jr. went to Rowan Co. NC about the same time as Phillip Dulin.
I have seenmarriage listings for Nathaniel Doolin to Susan Blackshire and Nathaniel Doolin to Susan Blackman, on the same date you have, but do not know which name is correct.
I wonder why there were no females listed with Nathaniel Doolin in the 1840 census.
Nathaniel Doolin is in the sixth civil District,Williamson County in 1850, on page 176, at the poorhouse.Nathaniel Dolin 54 wm NC insane.
Green Doolin is in the Ninth Civil District, Williamson County in 1850 page 244b, Joseph Littleton 33mw shoe and bootmaker TN,Susan Littleton 26 fw TN, Ellen M Littleton 8 fw TN, Green Doolin 16 wm cigar maker TN, Martin Scott 29 mb Shoe and Bootmaker TN.
I believe this Green Doolin is the son of Nathaniel and is the same as the Nathan G Doolin age 27 TN Segarmaker, living with Stephen R. Davis family in 1860 and the Nathaniel G Doolin that served in the TN infantry in the Civil war.
Sorry I couldn't help
Brenda
