Joel, Samuel, Henry, Theophilus, Abraham

He was studying medicine at New Haven, CT when the Revolution started. He enlisted 14 May 1777 New London, CT & initially served in the 1st CT Regiment. They fought in many battles including a stay at Valley Forge, PA. He transferred to the 5th CT, 1781 & served under LaFayette in VA. He earned a badge of Merit signed by General Washington.
