Thank you very much for this information re Franc Doolittle.
Was the Brewster & Doolitle hat company located in Howell, MI or in Wolcott, NY?
It is sad to learn that Franc Doolittle died in 1895. The "Landmarks of Wayne County, NY" biography (for which she must have supplied the information) was published in 1895. It says she came to Wolcott in 1883 and at the time of publication (1895) she employed 5 assistants, and "besides a large local business."
The LDS website lists 1880 census a Thankful Doolittle age 62 "SisterL" in the household of John and Caroline Nostrant, Van Buren, Onondaga, NY. Is this Franc's mother?
