Louis Ginsberg, in Photographers in Virginia, 1839-1900, lists an A.B. Doolittle, Artist, in Newport News, Va. no date given and no reference except to an image in the Fred Bell Collection. Craig's List doesn't mention a daguerrean of that name, and I haven't found any other mention of him. I'm in the research phase of a possible book on Virginia Photographers- was your Doolittle in Virginia? Thanks, Laurence Lindberg, Richmond Va
