I am originally from Bangor, which is not far from Covert (about 10 miles) and most likely these are some of my ancestors, or my ancestor's family. My Nancy Doolittle (b Oct 1817 CT) married Harlow Merriman in Ohio (not sure on where or date, but was early 1840's), they finally settled on the land surrounding Merriman Lake in Bangor Twp. (Merriman Lake is between Bangor and Hartford), and this is where they settled. I do know that Nancy had many siblings, and am pretty sure that some either settled there prior to Harlow & Nancy or about the same time. I hope to hear from you soon.
