Sorry, but you have the wrong Hattie.

I can see where Benjamin & Hattie are listed in the 1900 census for Cedar Co, Neb. She was born in Mich, but her father was born in Ireland & mother in England.

However, the 1900 census for Tekonsha, Calhoun, Mich lists Monroe & Flora Doolittle, together with their adopted daughter Hattie. Monroe was born in Mich; Flora in NY. They had three other children, all of whom died young.
