Andrew (Andreas) DOPPEL was born September 9, 1830, in Bavaria (Bayern). He emigrated to the United States about 1850 and settled in Erie County, New York, where he applied for citizenship on September 17, 1852. He married Anna Maria HETZEL who also was born in Bavaria and emigrated to the United States. She was born on August 8, 1833. They married in 1853 and moved to Saukville, Ozaukee County, Wisconsin. They were Roman Catholic. Andrew Doppel was a farmer.
Possible locations of Andrew Doppel's birthplace include Kirchlein, Weismain, OberFranken, Bavaria, or Kirchlein Bei Lichtenfels, OberFranken, Bayern. In Erie County, New York, he may have lived for a few years around Buffalo or Rochester prior to moving to Saukville, Wisconsin.
