I honestly have no idea if there is a connection but I thought I would post and see if there is something. My great-grandfather was Charles Dorso of Niagara Falls. His given name was Angelo and his surname was possibly D'Orazio. I also have some reason to believe he came from Abruzzi. He came to the US in the mid-1880s and settled in Niagara Falls around 1905, married in 1907 and died around 1924. I know his mother's name was Anna. Does any of this sound familiar - do the dates make sense given what you are researching?
