John Doremus, 1820s, North Jersey

Looking for possible connection that my ancestor, Garrit Nafee, had with John Doremus.

Garrit's updated military (Rev. War) pension filed in Morris County, stated in 1820 "That I have no family, but lived in the family of John Doremus". Garrit's wife Efee (Van Houten) died Dec 25, 1818 and Garrit died around Jan. 1823 as that is when his will was probated in Bergen County.

Garrit is said to have been buried in Pequonnack, NJ, but I have been unable to locate his grave.
