I am interested in the Doreys that went to California, where I live. Last summer I met a fourth cousin in Oregon who told me about a Dorey (a mutual ancestor) who lived on the San Francisco peninsula, had a sucessful business as a building contractor, and is probably the person who the street Dore Avenue is named after. That street crosses Highway 101 a little south of the San Francisco Airport.
