I believe Benjamin is a distant relation to my family. My family was from Somerset and Worcester Counties, Maryland. My GGGG Grandfather Ferdinand Dora (Also listed as Dore,Dorey, Dory, Doria) migrated from Maryland to Kentucky about 1797-1799. Last record of land sale in worcester 1797. Anyways aletter written by his Grandson in 1912 states Ferdinand born in 1758 son of John Dore and Miss Tillman had five brothers one being a Talmar/Tabney Dorey who married an Elizabeth Henderson and raised a large family. One son John Dorey/Dora born in MD 1786-1788 married Hester Truitt Nov. 14, 1811 and also moved to Kentucky where his uncle Ferdinand Lived. I believe Benjamin H. Dorey was a brother to the above John as both are listed in Worcester Co. MD land records. This Benjamin was also listed in the war of 1812 for the Maryland Militia. The letter further states descendents of this Maryland family moved to Delaware and Pennsylvania. Email me if you would like.

Sincerely Tiffany Luchetta
