Dorion Family Genealogy Forum
They are books that are for sale at most bookstores. I know that Amazon.Com carries them. The book is really about Marie Dorion, Pierre's Ioway wife. The first book talks about the journey with the Astorian party while their sons were young. The books are all different parts of their lives. By the third book the kids are all grown up and having children of their own. Jane Kirkpatrick has really done her research and has put life to this family. I too am from French Canadian ancestry and found this book to be really insightful into the lives that our ancestors lived. The books are sold in the large paperback form. There are tree in this set. They are called the Tender Ties Series. The first one is called, "A Name of Her Own." Jane's website is www.JKbooks.com. They are well worth the read especially if you stem from this line. I would love to have books like this about my ancestors.
