Scott: Have you ever noticed, while searching Irish records, the surname DORNING? I research the Dorning name in US through my 3rd great grandfather that reported being born in Ireland. I find the DORNING name most unusual. It appears that many went to England early on. I believe the name DORNING is a variation of DORNAN or vice versa.Do you have knowledge of this? I'd appreciate it if you could advise me. I have some info that will explain why I believe there is a connection to the name spelling DORNAN. I'd appreciate input from anyone that may have noticed the different spelling.

Thanks,
Jan
