I noticed you mentioned a Mary Carlisle in your posting. I am a Carlisle living in England trying to trace my Ulster ancestors living in County Down.In a posting to Robert Carlisle who I am trying to contact as his and my Grandfathers were brothers you mentioned a village called Ballnahinich where John Dornan and Mary left to emigrate.Mary may be no relation to me whatsoever as in 1853 there were 84 households throughout County Down with a Carlisle as the Head but it may be use to you to know there are still Dornans and Carlisle's living there (Ballnahinich) as i found them in the UK phone directory and as there is only less than 5500 people living there, it is quite possible someone might have information you seek-who Knows?
