We have yet to prove it conclusivly, but evidence is that the Derryberrys of Burke Co., NC 1780-1800 descend from the Derraberrys of Long Valley, Morris Co., NJ. It is fairly well documented that the Derraberrys were off shoots of Steven Durenberger/Dornberger who emigrated with two others, probably brothers, to that area. One went by Terryberry and imigrated to Canada.
