Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum
message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles
will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will
no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.
I'd like to know more about your family. You have to be related to my wife's grandmother, nee Freida Dornberger in NYC 9 Aug., 1900. Her two brothers were Frederick William Dornberger Jr. and Simon P. Dornberger, born 1896 and 1899 respectively. However, my mother-in-law remembers Simon as Charles F. Dornberger, a musician, who died in a plane crash in the 1930s. I got his name as Simon P. from the birth records in NYC. Unfortunately, my m-in-l doesn't remember a lot of details about the family history other than that Freida's parents, Fred and Pauline, were from Alsace. However, she believes that Pauline came over before Fred.
