Hi Joannah. Derricott and Darricott are varaint spellings of the Dorricott surname and all (in some cases) can be traced back to the same individual.

Dorricott is most common in the English county of Shropshire (old name Salop).

A William Derricott and his Wife Jane Weston emigrated to New South Wales sometime after 1891.

I think it is more likley that you are a decendent of Abraham Dorricott and his wife Ruth Oliver however who emigrated to Auckland, New Zealand.

The above William Derricott and Abraham Dorricott are distant cousins anyway.

Abraham died 20th February 1907 and is buried at Tuakau Cemetery Auckland New Zealand.

He had 8 children that I know of.

As we are getting into the realms of living people after this please e-mail me and I will try and see where you connect.

My E-Mail Address is:-

EarlJDavis@aol.com

Best Regards

Earl Davis
Staffordshire
England

(A distant Cousin).
