Hilary,
I have not gone very far back - to about 1780 or so. My great grandad, Edward Thomas Dorricott, kept a book of births and deaths which show his father as Edward, his grandfather as Thomas, of Westbury, Sal. His wife, Mary Ann was son of Hopkin Titley,a shoemaker of Reabrook, near Westbury. I have a picture of Edward and Mary, him bearded - his norm after the pit accident which left his face scarred.

I have some details of your grandad's evangelical trip to the US in 1894- was he Brethren like his brother?

Regards,
Roger
