Information I have is that a Francis Dorsett, born about 1718 in Dorsettshire, England, died after 1810 in Chatham Co. NC. Wife named Rebecca McSwaim. I don;t have names of all their children, however one was Col. Henry Dorsett, born 27 Nov 1777 in Chatham Co. NC. Henry died 8 Aug 1859 in Randolph Co. NC and is buried in the Henry Dorsett Family Cemetery there. Henry married Martha Patsy Marsh, also of Chatham Co. NC. This info is from the book "Craven Descendants of Peter Craven, Randolph County, North Carolina by Mary Craven Purvis.
