Both the Dockery and Dorsett families were connected to my ancestors. They too were in Chatham County, then later migrated to Burke before coming to Lawrence County, Indiana in the 1830's and 1840's.

The Dorsett's later married into my Johnson family (whom I can find little about before Indiana). George W. Dorsett, a desecendant of Solomon and Francis Dorsett, married Bertha Johnson, a first cousin to my grandpa Levi Terrell. There also were other Dorsett connections. Levi's mother Rachel Johnson Terrell my great-grandmother, had a sister Elizabeth who married Austin Blake. Their daughter Sally Blake married JETHRO DOCKERY who was born in 1828. However, I do not know who his parents were, but all these people were originally from the area of Burke/Wilkes County of North Carolina. Rachel's grandparents, (Rev.) Edward Teague and his wife Luranna, lived near Siler City during the American Revolution.
