HELP! Which Priscilla Dorsey married Robert Wilmot and removed to Kentucky from Maryland???
I have all kinds of conflicting information - and I have a Kentucky article - published in 1839 - stating that he, Robert Wilmot, Rev War veteran, had married Priscilla Dorsey, daughter of Caleb Dorsey of MD and in 1786 came with his family to Kentucky.
Now first of all, my Priscilla Dorsey, dau of Caleb, was born in 1762, married Charles Carnan Ridgely. Most people working on Wilmot make her the wife. I have ton of sources proving her marriage to Ridgely - so what other Caleb had a daughter named Priscilla. Or is this all baloney?
Has anyone else ever worked on this conundrum? What conclusions did you come to?
