This is not my family, I just searched around about them for an hour or so in some of the databases I subscribe to.
Virginia Elizabeth Dorsey, as the widow of Greenberry S Dorsey, applied for a Civil War pension in Jefferson County, AR in 1916. From Greenbury S. Dorsey's Civil War intake papers, he was born in Catahoula Parish, Louisiana in about 1830. He was the son of Zachariah Dorsey who I've heard was born in Kentucky about 1798. I also read but did not see any proof that he was married to Lucinda Smith daughter of William Smith.) Zachariah and Green S. Dorsey along with another son William are in Catahoula in the 1850 census--no record of Lucinda there.
I also read that Virginia was Virginia Elizabeth Graves and that her father, John W. Graves, was a neighbor of the Dorseys in Catahoula. In one census, there is a young girl named Lizzie Graves living with the Dorseys so that seems consistent.
The Dorseys lived for some time in Issaquenna County, Mississippi (1880 census). I'm not sure if he moved to Arkansas but clearly his wife and daughter did. In Mississippi, Virginia was called Jennie.
I wonder if they fit with those other Dorseys that you were trying to find roots for in Jefferson County a while back.
