I really need some help here - I keep seeing this Richard Doshier, and he died in California in the late 1800s or so. Does anyone know anything about the Richard Doshier who was living in Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory, OK in 1900? He is listed as being 80 years old on the census, born January 1820. His death certificate shows he died there a few years later, in Indian Territory. He lived there with Elizabeth Doshier, 51 yrs old, and Emma Doshier, a widow, aged 18, and Dosie (Theodosia, I'm guessing?), age one. I've been told the Emma on this census is the Emma Belle Doshier who married my great-grandfather, and is my great-grandmother. I need to know, first of all, if this is correct, and, secondly, if her maiden name was Belle, or if that was her middle name. And, if it was her middle name, what the heck was her maiden name, so I can find her parents and complete my tree? You would think I could get this info from my own family, but they all claim she was Comanche and was hiding that fact from the world, so nobody ever met her family or knows anything about them. Does anyone here know who she was?
