Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Calling the expelled Acadians Huguenots is like calling a American Revolutionary Hero a British Loyalist.

There is no attempt to merge Acadians with Huguenots, only that Huguenots were expelled along with the Acadians during the Great Expulsion from Nova Scotia (per Google Wikipedia).

Since my family lineage is from Virginia, there may be no family connection with the Nova Scotia Dossetts.
