During my lunch hour I typed a very long response in the forum; apparently it never made it.I will re-type part of it now and the rest tomorrow:
Thomas Doster was in Orange County, Virginia on 21 September 1742 when he purchased one crocus bag, or sack, from the estate sale of Edward Glover.Thomas owned 320 acres in the northeast part of present-day Winchester, Virginia, which he sold to Enoch Pearson.Pearson sold the tract to Robert Rutherford on 11 November 1753.rutherford received a Fairfas grant for the 320 acres on 15 June 1754.This tract was crossed by an Old Wagon Road (1757)/New Road from John Littler's to the New Town (Winchester, 1748) whichwas called Potomac Waggon Road (1752).(adjacent southwest of Tract 55, and west of Tract 3A, Map 7).
From the book "Pioneers of Old Frederick County, Virginia" by Cecil O'Dell.
