All the extra info I could find on him from the record [it's hard to read] is that he was in the Confederate Navy and captured July 9, 18?? for desertion?? I don't know where he was on this Page [8271] of Civil War Prisoner of War Records, 1861-1865 > Confederate > Selected Records of the War Department. But he was transfered to Elmira, located 217 miles NW of NYC, July 25, 1864. 25% of the prisoners died there.

I am sorry I can't find more info.
