Thank you for your information that you posted previously.
You have confirmed via your sources the same information that I was able to find at the Familysearch.org website. There was an entry by a person named Rod Violette who traced the family back through to Pierre Doucet born abt. 1621 in France died 1 June 1713 in Port Royal Nova Scotia Canada.
Father of Pierre is stated as Germain dit La Verdure Doucet.
