Laurent Doucet & Ursule Martin did have a son, Firmin b. Sept 15, 1752 (NS Public Archives, Acadian records). I agree he couldn't be the one that married Marie Thibodeau as he would have been 112 by the death record of 1864. Does anyone know whom Firmin,b. 1752 married? He isn't with Laurent and Ursule in the Conn. records. That family became Dowset in Ashford, Conn.
I will work on getting my records reorganized. In the marriage record of Modeste, d/o Firmin & Marie, it states Marie's middle name as Rose, if that is of any help.
