Have you looked for her in the household of her parents, in the Federal census for the county where they lived? The 1870 and the 1880. That should give you her mother's given name...and, I'd personally, consider that her mother's maiden named might have been Prindle, and do some searching with that as your theory...that's an awfully unusual name...surely a family name of some kind. So, it would be worth a try. The census would also give you her siblings, if she had them.
