I am familiar with your line of Doughty's and have information on them. The reason being is concerning the Daniel Doughty that fought in the Revolutionary War and was born about 1740. This may indeed be my Daniel that married Martha Lanney/Lanning in Bucks County PA in 1766. The headstone of his son John, that died in Centerville IN stated that he (John) was born in NJ. I have submitted our family Doughty's DNA to the DNA website (http://dotydoughtydna.org/) If you could get a family member to do the same, it would help tie up a lot of guesses here. Feel free to E-mail me direct at jbaker@rrohio.com
