I contacted the Wolfes, and they have not found anything on a Joy, as daughter to Enoch.....it is not even listed on their site, so they wondered where that came from....for that, I had no answer. I also contacted another site that supposedly cited Joy as daughter to Enoch, but they listed Margaret as the only know child and this was what they had to say about a Joy, related to Enoch Doughty;

1663 "Deed of gift: I, Enoch Doughty, have delivered unto Joye Oneale, my brother Heugh Oneale's daughter, on black heifer; 20 Nov 1663; /s/ Enoch Doughty; wit. Samuel Clarke, Thomas Branso (mark)." [Elise Greenup Jourdan, Abstracts of Charles County, Maryland Land and Court Records, 1658-1666,
Vol. I, p. 180]

Thus, a Joy Oneale was the daughter of Enoch's sister, who married an O'neal....
I contacted another who supposedly named Joy as a daughter, but they have not replied (which, in my experience, means that they posted it on their site but they have absolutely no proof for it.) I'm pretty sure this is something that started God knows where, but that people simply plucked from the internet as valid....what a shame that the internet is so full of totally undocumented things shared all everywhere....that assumes a life of it's own, being passed from person to person without a shred of proof. As you know, secondary information is useless as documentation....it's a 'he said, she said' sort of situation - useless to a researcher.
