Have you checked to see if there is a birth certificate on record? I know that several cities have birth certificates on file from the 1880s on, but as you don't give the town, I can't tell if you're going to be lucky or not. Check with the Tenn Office of Vital Records.
If you know when she died, her death certificate would contain her parents' names. Have you looked for her, by name, in the 1900 & 1910 Federal census? She would appear in the household of her parents, who would be named.
