We also have Irish Doughtys. Our info is that James Doughty married Margaret ( possibly Doolin) sometimes before 1874 we believe in Ireland. Went to India where 2 children were born, William Henry Doughty b. July 1874 and Mary Agnes Doughty b. August 1878. Family story has it that James died in India shortly after and the family returned to Ireland around 1882 where William was put into the Royal Hibernian School and Mary Agnes into a convent, don't know which one. She and her mother emigrated to the US around 1892 and we have a good trace on them afterwards until their deaths in the 50's. William died in England, we also have a good trace on him. What we need info on is James and Margaret's families and also a 3rd child of theirs mentioned on a census in 1921 and 31 as still living. We have no name for that child or other info. If I can be of help to you please get in touch, or if anyone can help me. Many thanks:)
