Darlington SC, Levi P. & Benjamin Doughty

Doughty researchers record Benjamin Doty/Doughty B-1721 living in Darlington County South Carolina until he died in 1790. He is the father of well documented Levi P. Doughty who appears in the Darlington SC census in 1795 and 1800. There are only two other Doughty households in Darlington County SC around that period. Both appear in 1800, (Randolph and Benjamin Doughty), then in 1810 only Benjamin Doughty appears. These two Doughty males are roughly the same age as Levi P Doughty. Logic would say they are probably the sons of Bejamin Doty/Doughty or at least belong to the same family. Can anyone shed light on this question.
