Hi I am from Ontario Canada and my Dowd family came here from Castlemaine, Ireland, County Kerry, in particular, Boolteens, in 1849 during the potato famine. Maurice Dowd (Doud, Doody) and Mary Corcoran are my 3rd great grandparents.
I just found this great website for Kerry Dowd's (also has records from Dublin)listing detailed birth and marriage records! And it is free!
