David my name is Kelly Ann (Dowd) Reilly
My Dowd Family was born in Claremorris, County Mayo. Ireland.

My Great Great Grandmothers Name was Honoria Mooney. her father's name I know was Francis Mooney and her mother's last name Scahil. She was born 1846 in Woodstock.

She married Thomas Dowd on 1-17-1869 in Claremorris,in Kilvine Parish.

I know she had 11 children, most of which immigrated to America and one was named Patrick
They were
Michael Joseph Dowd; Catherine (Dowd) Charles; John Dowd; Martin Dowd; Luke Dowd; Mary (Dowd) Murphy; Bridget Dowd; Edward Dowd; Patrick Dowd; Thomas Joseph Dowd and Francis Joseph Dowd

Honoria had a Sister named Catherine Mooney

The 1901 Census for Claremorris shows her, Martin, Luke, Edward and Bridget still in Ireland, lists her as a widow.

The 1911 Census shows just Bridget and Edward still in Ireland, she died in 1911 obviously before they took the census.

Her son Thomas Joseph Dowd is my great grandfather. He died in Philadelphia, PA in 1931 of pnemonia.

He married in 1912 in Philadelpia to Celia (Kirrane-changed to Carey) Upon immigrating and they had 5 children.
A Daughter Mary Angela (Dowd) Daniels in 1913, A son Thomas Joseph Dowd Born still born in 1914, A daughter named Cecelia in 1916, A Daughter named Cathering in 1917, both Cecelia and Catherine dies in 1918 3 weeks apart of pnemonia and a son Thomas Joseph Dowd in 1920 who was my grandfather. I am not certain if this is the same Dowd Family you are looking for. But Patrick Dowd was born in Claremorris on October 29, of 1887. Please feel free to contact me if it is.
