Hi Terri
We appear to be connected. My maiden name was Dowdell and my Dowdell ancestors came from Wiltshire. I would be happy to exchange my Dowdell records with yours. Thomas Dowdell b 1732 married Ruth Fowyle b. Wiltshire. they had Elizabeth b. 1762 Boyton, Wiltshire, James, Thomas, Edward, Ruth, James, Henry, George, Martha and Jane all born in Wiltshire. My Gt. Grandfather Thomas b. 1827 Wiltshire d. 1910 Rosaville, near Mt. Gambier in Australia. came to Australia from Wiltshire. Many spellings of the name--Dowdle, Dowal, Dowdall... Do you have an email address? Or normal postal address? I have many records I would be happy to send. Would love to receive a copy of your records..........regards Val
