I noticed your town several months ago while doing some research.
My family came from Dublin Ireland in ~1780 and settled in Charlottesville, Virginia. At least two sons of the first generation born in Charlottesville moved westward to Kentucky.
The oldest son, John, moved to Lawrenceburg, KY where he practiced law and served as a state representative for Anderson County.
The youngest son, William Henry, moved to near Benton, KY.
A decendent of a third son moved to Missouri.
Of course, the path from Virginia to Kentucky/Missouri at that time was very likely through your area. It would be interesting to learn when your town was named.
I believe I have seen "Draffen" or "Draffin" records on some internet searches I've done that refer to church parish members, or death records in your area. I haven't been able to research them, but, if I see them again I will forward them to you.
You may also already know that there is a "Draffenville" in Western Kentucky. Named for Luther Draffen who was influencial in the location of the Kentucky/Barkley Dams that created Kentucky & Barkley Lakes.
