Hi Karen, You know abt the name change from Hawthorn to Drain around 1820's by some of the clan. Your Margaret Hawthorn is
indeed Margaret Drain. i am quite sure my Drains originated in Southend, or Carradale, and ended up in Campbeltown. I also am related to Browns from Kilcalmonell and Kilberry parish. Jen
