I know that Sarah A. was a Holland because that's what their marriage record says. I have a copy of it. I also have a copy of a deposition that Solomon Falls wrote when he was applying for the Civil War pension of his son, Thomas after Thomas died. In that deposition he states the daughter, Sarah, was "born before the marriage". He doesn't indicate whether she was his natural child or not. So that means that either Mary (Holland) Drain had her daughter, Sarah out of wedlock or was a widow.

I know that Mary L. was a Drain because that's what the Falls' family Bible says. I know that she was born in AR because that's what she stated in a letter when she was applying for Madison Falls' Civil War pension after he died. Also, because that's what her death certificate says.
