I think I found some info on the Northcross forum by a family member.Looks like William Drains middle name was Preston.Pluma was Walter Plumma, wow!!!Maybe Nettie can give us more info as to who James and Mary Drain were, parents of William P.
This is what I found,I just can't get who was who except sibs for Pluma.

Walter Scott Northcross(Son of John M. Northcross and Sarah L. Northcross nee Oakes) married Cornelia Ann Moore ?,1878 at Corinth, Alcorn Co., Mississppi. They at some point after that moved to Delta County, Texas. Where Cornelia died at Padouca,Delta Co., Texas in 1892. At some point after that Walter Scott moved to Wanette, Pottawatomie Co., Okla. Where he lived out his life. I found him on the 1910 census in Okla. My grandmother Florence Aylma was born at Corinth, Miss. Feb.16, 1877. Her sister Maude Etta was born in Delta County, Texas Feb. 7, 1880. He had a brother named John that also moved to Texas and then Okla. I believe I was told he was a teacher. His uncle James must have had family in Texas as he died at the Alamo. The children were Florence Aylma(marr.Samuel A. Anderson) b. 2/16/1877, Maude Etta(marr.Joseph Wisdom) b.2/7/1880, Walter Plumma(marr.William Preston Drain) b.7/21/1887, that I knew who lived here in Okla. Lanora (married Jim Benefield) b.4/1884, Jewel b.1889, Ora b.7/21/1882, Annie b.5/5/1885, Maggie b.6/1874, Dora 6/1875, I dont know what became of those girls. Then there was Era called b.1892. I heard that Walter Scott had a couple of Brothers who were murdered in Texas. If so maybe they had families there that they left. I think it was Nullems and Richard, but dont know any peticulars. Some of Walter Scotts family did migrate to or through Texas. Donnam

Glad to share info,
Shirley
