A while back, I was looking through immigraton ndexes and found references to a Drain family who entered the US in the 1810's. Most came in 1811, with a couple of stragglers joining them in 1812 and 1813, if I remember correctly.

This whole family was listed as coming from Ireland. Looking at census records, it appears the family mostly remained in Philly and its environs for several decades.

I have no idea if and how they are related to the Drain/Drane family that settled in Maryland in 1600's which quickly spread as fast as the frontier allowed. Iam descended from the Maryland Dranes.
