Well, over 4 years have passed and I have not managed to produce this book. I still have substantial info on the various branches and am returning to the web-page format. It will be posted in pieces this time instead of all in one file.

I am beginning with my "immediate" line of the family: the descendants of David Drain/Drane of Rockbridge County, VA. I will try to get it formatted and uploaded this weekend. IN the near future I will work out the descendants of David's brothers and then his father's brothers, so on and so forth.

Once again I welcome commentary and emails from interested parties. And I apoligize to those who have contacted me in rcent years ad I was not able to engage properly. Local politics took over my life since 2004, but I have now retired from that circus and can devote more time to genealogy.
