Dear Paula,
I recently found more information that ties John Perry (1715-1785) and Abial Draughn to the Hampton Draughn listed in the above message. You listed that some land was transacted in Sumter concerning land originally granted to Jonathan Bell. Jonathan Bell is listed in several land transactions in Bertie County, NC (from whence John Perry came in 1770 to Sumter Co., SC), and in at least one record this same John Perry is in charge of the Bell family's estate sale in Bertie.
