Hi John. I am also a direct descendant of John Bright Draughon b. 1800 Sampson Co. NC. I could really use some info if you can help. I believe my father is your 1st cousin. My GGGrandfather is Garry Bright Draughon. My GGrandmother is Civil Eliza Draughon. It was through your info to another that I found her true name. My father and his brother called her Syviliza, leaving me with a dead end. Civil Eliza married Gaston Eggbert Edwards and they had three children; Martha Ann, John, and Donie. Martha Ann is my grandmother. John must be your father.

Do you have any info on births, deaths, siblings, marriage dates. etc? Also do you have info on the parentage of Gaston Edwards? I can not locate any.

Martha "Annie" married Archie Raynor. I am also searching for info on the Raynor line. Archie's father was Frank or Francis M. (Probably for Marion) who married Ellen Westbrook. They all lived in the same area. The Draughons were connected to the Raynor's twice. John Bright b. 1800 married Piercy Raynor. Do you have any info on her, her parentage, siblings, etc., or any info on Frank from my grandfather Raynor's family? Thanks for your help. I am grateful to be able to communicate with a direct relative. Betty send me an e-mail:
