I am looking for information concerning the Theodore Dreesen family of East Bow, Nebraska. This community was really called such because of the East Bow Catholic church located about seven miles east of Hartington, Nebraska in Cedar County. Theodore and his family came to this area about 1871 from Springfield Corners, Wisconsin. With him came his wife, Agnes (Muxen), and seven children: Elizabeth (m. Lux) born in Prussia; Peter (m. Catherine Suing) born in Wisconsin; Berta (m. Hirschman), Maggie (m. Foulk), Mary (m. Hirschman), Annie (m. Hirschman), and Matthias (m. Maude Suing), all born in Wisconsin. An eighth child, Joseph, was born in Nebraska. The parents and oldest daughter came to the U. S. in 1858, but we do not know where they came from, or what their itinerary was once they got to this country. They simply say Prussia as the country of birth in records here. I would love to communicate with anyone who is also interested in this family.
