Michelle: Your Grandfather Duane and my grandmother, Madeline, were first cousins. Duane was an invaluable guide and story teller for me as I researched the Dreesen family tree. I knew he was ill, and was greatly saddened to hear that he had died. The tombstone for Anna Dreesen that you saw may have been the tombstone for the regal lady we called "Aunt Ann." She was married to George Dreesen, my grandmother's brother. Her maiden name was Anna Oberembt. I happened to be pouring through all my Dreesen pages and decided to check Genforum and saw your posting. Were you close to your grandfather? I will truly miss him. He supplied so much information for me and even took me out to visit the people who now live on the Peter Dreesen homestead place. Duane descended from Peter's brother, Matt, so we are related, though somewhat distantly. If you want to correspond, I would be happy to share information. Judy Schrader
