New E-mail address & some comments

Folks:

My new e-mail address is jhflann@drizzle.com

The LDS "Family Search" web site is now up & (more or less) running:

http://www.familysearch.org

At times it becomes quite "pokey", so I just close it & reopen it. During "prime time" it sometimes will not open, but try it later. Under DREHMER, I found my GEORGE DREHMER's son HARVEY DREHMER [IDA DREHMER's brother] & his son FRANCIS RALPH DREHMER who married ETHEL STODDARD [I am in contact with their daughter ETHEL DREHMER VANDERHOFF, & there are several other DREHMERs in Corning, NY who are also descended from HARVEY.]

Tom:

I'm now convinced that my GEORGE DREHMER b. 1840 was the son of GEORGE C. DREHMER, listed as 9 in the 1850 Census & as 20 in the 1860 census.

Also under GEORGE C. DREHMER, could "JOHNSON" DREHMER, listed as 25 in the 1860 Census be identical to CONRAD DREHMER, listed as 15 in the 1850 Census? That is, if his full name was CONRAD JOHNSON DREHMER, JOHNSON being perhaps the mother's maiden name? MARG(A)RET DREHMER, 20, would then be the wife of CONRAD? I believe this analysis to be essentially correct.

O H DRAMER is actually O H DRAPER. HORTON H. HESS was apparenrly either a nephew or related to ELIZABETH DRAPER. I did a InternetFamilyFinder search last year, but I've forgotten how CAMELIA DOTY fits in. In any case, they do not belong with the DREHMER lines.

Halsey
